A Message from Founder Jared Kott

The saddest thing that can happen to a human is that they lose hope in the face of today’s realities. It breaks my heart to see people who’ve lost the ability to dream or to imagine a brighter future.

Marblestone Property Group (MPG) is the brainchild of a derelict kid (me) who escaped the soul-crushing grind of Corporate USA and wanted to better the Southside Chicago neighborhoods.

In 2013, I saw how property management could serve as a vehicle to achieve my dreams… and to help others achieve their own. This year we rebranded (like the shiny new site?) and launched a new business model: “Building Wealth Together with Bitcoin.”

Why Bitcoin?

For years, like everyone else, I saw the headlines for Bitcoin and how much the value skyrocketed. Rather than blindly hopping on the bandwagon, I did tons of research on cryptocurrency in general, Bitcoin, and block chain.

I encourage anyone thinking about investing in Bitcoin or any other non-regulated crypto to do their homework. I can offer plenty of sources to get you started. Feel free to reach out!

But I so firmly believe in the strength and capitalistic nature of Bitcoin that MPG is now the first property management company in Chicagoland to adopt the Bitcoin standard.

Seizing Life’s Opportunities

I never started out in life wanting to own a business. I went to college and started a pencil-pushing job in Corporate USA. I was miserable, but making good money… until I got fired as part of restructuring.

That was a blessing in disguise. It made me kick-start my interest in real estate investing. I just wanted to be a landlord, collect rent, and provide affordable, safe housing for my tenants.

Going Deep to Achieve Goals

As the founder of MPG, I’ve had my own struggles in life. But one thing I’ve always learned is to always go deep. I look for the meaning behind the reasons we do the things we do. It’s helped me stay sober for more than 15 years. I search for the meaning and the motivation to take each day at a time and look for the good.

To the unemployed person who finally found a job to support their family: Yes, I want to know how much you made. But I also want to know what it felt like to finally hear those words, “You’re hired.” Who did you tell first? What did they say? What would your parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents have said if they heard the news? How will you use your new income to build a better life for your children and their children?

To the recovering addict: Yes, I want to know how many days you’re been clean. But I also want to know why you put down your addiction in the first place. What made you take the first step on the road to recovery? What keeps you on that path? How do you guard yourself from ever returning to that dark place?

Bitcoin for a Better Life

Some say MPG’s massive vision of “Building Wealth Together with Bitcoin” is too far-fetched or that we shouldn’t share financial “secrets” with the masses. Let them say whatever they want. We have too many lives to touch, too many dreams to help others realize to waste time listening to the naysayers.

Do you believe in the power of dreams and in harnessing opportunities to change lives by building a better tomorrow? I do. MPG is living proof.

What can we build together?
